About us

Welcome St. Lucy E.M. School

St. Lucy E.M. School, Korom had its humble beginning in 2005 as a challenging response to the overwhelming demands from dedicated parents who wanted their children to be educated in a Catholic Institution. St. Lucy E.M. School is a Catholic Minority Institution but it is open to all other students. St. Lucy Sisters have schools in Italy, U.S.A, England, Ireland, Brazil, Africa (Ethiopia, Eritrea), Albania and in India. Our Foundress is St. Lucy Filippini. She opened the first school in 1692 in Italy. St. Lucy E.M. Echool accepts the challenge of fulfilling our mission as a Catholic School. Our aim is to educate the children’s mind, strengthen their God given intellectual powers, satisfy their soul with knowledge of their faith, and strengthen their body with organized physical activity.

As educators we assume our responsibilities to God, and treat each of our students as precious gifts. We enable our students to gain the self-confidence and esteem so needed by the youth of today. Our primary goal is to give each student a solid moral and academic foundation so that they will be prepared to make difference in this world. We feel that as a strong catholic school we serve as a cornerstone in the total growth of our students.

Mission

St. Lucy expressed her great desire: “As for me, I long to be present in every corner of the earth to be present everywhere and plead with all peoples of every sex, age and condition: Love God! Love God!. O My God, make me into many Lucys so that, multiplied, I may spread your glory far and wide. St. Lucy Filippini.
